The concept of tipping is just weird. I hear a lot of other countries don’t do it

I was at a sports bar in Vegas watching the football games with fam and when the check came they had subtly (or maybe this is standard procedure) snuck a 20% tip into the total, but still had a tip line. I guess they hope drunk people don’t notice and double-tip?

It probably comes from a day and age of homeless ppl literally showing up to work and only getting paid tips and trashbin food until they could move into a better position. Like pre1930s.

This obviously doesn't work anymore since homeless ppl are regularly turned away from jobs and considered a liability.

Unless you are able bodied and clean cut and apply for hard labor jobs every day for like a few months it's very hard. (Going down to the workforce and standing out front at 3am to get picked up for $50s for a full day moving pallets or picking oranges with non English speakers). And the democrats have made this neigh fucking illegal for actual US citizens who could potentially file a lawsuit.

And if u are too clean cut and show up with an actual paper resume and a nice high and tight and military background its even worse because u are way the fuck overquallified to flip burgers. Affirmative action doesn't apply here. It only really applies when apping to big government jobs like park ranger which requires a degree + maybe being a non-white race.

Back when I was privilaged and had a nice job and a nice car I was OK with this just being the cost of business, that's a fuckin sin m8s.
