![]() Ima play devil's advocate and say Hasan didn't come off in that vid as a moron to me. He said every correct liberal talking point about guns and the dangers of rhetoric. He could have basically been reading a WaPo article about the incident word for word, in terms of how he sounded
It's just his "solution" to limit negative speech to prevent violence, which sounds great but is just a muddled mess of a concept. Who gets the protection and who doesn't? Protected classes I imagine would be his idea. So then, say, black or gay conservatives could have special shields against criticism? Would Christians based on religious protection? It's just a hot mess when you start considering implementation. The best you can hope for is causing a change in the actual rhetoric IMO | ||
