House was built in 08. The xfinity grey box on the side of the house "looks" like it's all fine. But the activation tech I spoke to had me move the modem to all of my cable outlets and none of them produced an online light. I take it there doesn't need to be anything in the power slot of the gray box attached to the house?
I have bolt cutters lol. I just don't understand why they would physically cut something just because the former owners moved out

if its 08 then you should have a line at the least, grey box is where ground block is located, if its connected on both sides, thats fine, all it does it common ground to power. the green lil pedestal is where the "tap" is where we connect to the hardline. need a pedestal key or drill it out to open it usually, can try just opening if they leave it unlocked like we do. if its connected there then its something in your attic (no splitter or they used dish and took the lines). if its terminated you are screwed without the tool. bout best info i can give you without seeing infront of me. In tuscaloosa, AL we generally leave things hot and dont hard terminate too much. Other systems im sure have there own lil shindig tho.
