My baby sisters kitty comes to hide out with me and play video games after a long day of child abuse xP of all the weird things he eats, he seems to like potato chips and flavored water the most. odd cat.

My cat is like my daughter. She was born to a weird libertarian cat lady who didn't believe in spaying/neutering nor getting any kind of shots for them.

So eventually I took my cat in to get her rabies/distemper shot (apparently you're supposed to get them 1x/year but jesus, screw that, 1 every 5 seems like it would be enough... I don't even get shots but once every 15-20 years.)

The doctor mixed the vaccines in one syringe (which is not ideal) and then gave her the shot in between her shoulder blades, which according to modern veterinary practice, you're supposed to give on the leg in case of a cancerous reaction. You can cut off a leg but you can't cut it out of their spine.

I learned all this because I looked it up and did a lot of research on it after my perfect little kitty developed a golfball-sized cyst right in between her shoulder blades, a terrible reaction to the medication. I severely blasted the dentist all over the internet review sites. From now on, I will always research any veterinary medical procedure thoroughly on the internet (always realizing that I am not seeing most of the picture because I do not have a medical background) rather than blindly trusting some random local dude who doesn't stay current with his practice.

Very luckily, the reaction subsided and she is happy and healthy as ever now. God I love my cat.

Pic very related.
