we were jug lining for catfish, looking for the big ones, but all we were catching were 6-8ft alligator gar. i enjoy bluegill and crappie fishing. lots of action, and they taste pretty good if you fillet and beer batter them.

Oh yeah, there are huge gar out there. If I actually ate them I'd probably jug line for them. I'm from Louisiana so they are all over the place.

I mostly prefer catfish or bass fishing though.

along the same vein, i also reject christian ideology; i do not need heaven as a reward to make me a good person.
Marriage pre-dates Christian ideology by many millenia, so the two are definitely not joined at the hip. Also, "heaven as a reward for being a good person" isn't part of Christian ideology, whether in conservative/evangelical or liberal circles.

If you're gonna trash someone else's ideology as a completely unnecessary point to what you're saying, as least do it correctly.

Side note - I like the green on the walls behind you. I used a similar shade (so close I don't know if it's a diff one) in one of the rooms of my apt.

he was trying to imply that without a ring one cannot be faithful or committed, i was just drawing a parallel to christian ideology and the belief by most followers that without god one cannot be a good person.
