P99 doesn't care for your socialist outlook, sorry we don't conform and give you groups. If you have 5 dollars I need you to give me 2.50
Lol. You should probably not just rely on the bogey-man version of socialism if you want to use it to call people out. You probably shouldn't use conformity as a dig either if you decide to keep doing it anyway.

Thank you for actually giving a thoughtful response.
Indeed. Props to Dad for giving a thoughtful response to what was a very hostile and angry rant that gave nobody but you the benefit of the doubt.

I'm sorry you're having a shitty experience, but the way you approached it here was less than ideal for seeking understanding and thoughtful engagement.

Look into guild ALS - Their guild is sort of of trying to force a classic leveling experience for players late to the p99 party.

Sorry for being "hostile and angry", but I am not sorry. I am upset and if you are one of those people that play your twink time and time again ignoring new players, then screw you sir. I hope you get upset. Your making this community way more difficult than it needs to be for new players.

If you also think there is too much of this going on, then maybe you can try a different approach than mine. But for me, I'm angry. When I was leveling my rogue I was getting upset too until I hit around level 14 where Twinks start looking to group. Then I let it go. But now that I have made a new character I am experiencing it all over again. It's bullshit.

Camps for "/ooc 25 rogue LFG" -
  • Unrest: MR or FP.
  • Mistmoore: Pond
  • UGuk: whole back third
  • SolA: Whole place?
  • Highkeep: goblins
  • Runnyeye: various
  • Splitpaw: front
  • CazicThule: front
Since you are a 25 dorf rogue, go back to your hometown, bind there, and then make a living going back and forth between Unrest and Mistmoore. No reason to leave until late 30s, and corpse draggers are handy folks to have around in either zone.

Keep your LFG flag up, and when in doubt, sneak/hide to the camp you want and get on its waiting list. If you want the MM pond, for example, sneak/hide to the pond, ask in /say how long the waiting list is and be patient. You will get int that group because people come and go all the time and groups want the exp to keep rolling.

If you want groups, be proactive and go find them.

And if non-twinking is indeed your bag, by all means, check out the ALS thread in the Guild section of the forums. You won't get complaints from any of us about being untwinked.

PS - some groups will gripe about non-twink. Ask any ALS member how we know. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] That said, if you hold your own, the exp keeps flowing and you don't sponge healer mana or become a liability, after like 5-6 kills, even the most arrogant twink won't really care. End of the day, if the xp bar moves to the right and you did your part, it's all good.
You didn't read this thread very well. My rogue has no issues grouping. This has to do with leveling up to into your late teens. The problem is its' worst around level 5 to 12.

EDIT: Thank you for your advice though!

EDIT2: I will make the first post more informative.

As a new player I have a few characters now, my highest being a 25 rogue.

As a new player it is retardedly hard to find a group.

East Commonlands is full of people soloing.

I went to Crushbone and the entire place was being camped by people Soloing.

Unrest is the first dungeon where I could actually count on getting a group in the evening.

You see, this server has been around for too long. Everyone is playing Alts with thousands of plat worth of gear and just soloing into their late teens or early 20's. This really fucking sucks for us new players.

Either start playing with other people or reset the damn server. Because this IS NOT HOW CLASSIC WAS. I have so many fond memories from Classic because people were so friendly and it was easy to find a group.

EDIT: Make sure to read the line in BOLD
EDIT2: I want to be clear that my 25 Rogue has no issues grouping anymore. The problem that I am talking about is around level 5 to 12, even up to 16. The time it took to get from 14 to 25 on my rogue was less than the time it took to get to 14, because it is so difficult to find people that want to group up. From my experiences, 9 out of 10 characters are twinks that ignore new players. This wouldn't be AS much of an issue if they would just group with the new players as the literally are killing mobs right in front of them.

My bad. But here's my advice. Reroll that necro and start in either Paineel or Qyenos, and do your pre-12 grind in Paineel and.or Qeynos. VASTLY different than anywhere else in the game for new players, especially non-twinks. Or just get yourself a port to Toxx and get to work. Between the Qeynos aqueducts, the warrens and Toxx itself, your low level experience will improve dramatically.

I started an alt, barely twinked (ie mostly refuse from my other chars) and I always grouped with people, since my class can't really solo. Also grouped with plenty of non-twinked people in CB and Unrest. Maybe your envy toward people with expensive gear is slightly twisting your perception? Also the server doesn't need you feel free to GTFO asap.
