I agree with you 100% that we can't get hyped for this game with out knowing who it caters too (not us) But, I like and play Planetside 2 and it has the One of the best f2p systems out there.

They already have a playable internal build. Game uses the same engine as Planetside. I could go over all the shit he said to me but it was all random buzz words. "what would you say to a game in that you never do the same thing twice" He says he doesn't like über guilds that monopolize all the end game content but he doesn't like instances. Humans gnomes and elves are in the game. You can tell how good a player is by looking at his armor. Kronos will be in it to deter RMT. He said the backbone of the game will be its tradeskillers not because of tradeskills in general but because of the type of people that trade skilling attracts (what does that mean) He wants a game that will be a home base for players where if a new mmo comes out they leave play it for six months and come back to eq because it is there long time game. He doesn't want a peaked high population he wants a consistent long term population. No class info yet There still don't know what to do about dying. They want a game that attracts casuals in a way that is not raiding so raiders can raid and casuals can...casual.

Almost nobody in this thread is going to be happy with whatever SoE releases next, because ultimately we are no longer their target audience or customer base. Those "WoW kiddies" that enjoy "Easy-mode" and "crap games" are. There is no "next EverQuest", the genre, players, and companies have all evolved and it's most likely not going backwards. That's why we all play and talk about this 14 year old shit.
