I'm not sure how simple adding single item loot is but.

Orange text and removing xp on death... gotta be a no brainer.

tbh i have come around on xp death. i think it could be left in as a sting for pvp death, but lessened 50+ so at 59 its like an hour max of xp to make up instead of an evening chain pulling seb.

Agreed,

After being zerged in pvp on this server I really think there needs to be some penalty for such actions. Right now at least you know they are hurting for exp because they keep dying in pvp. Remove the exp loss on death they zerging will happen much more.

I suggest this.

1-45 there is no exp loss for pvp death.
46-60 3% exp loss, but ressable for 50% exp gain.

So basically reducing exp loss from 3-1.5%. This should deter some zergs that we know will happen a ton more when exp loss is removed. I think this would be a fairly balanced solution.

Wait, this is a Nihilum saying Zergs are a problem, after spending like 1.5 years hardcore defending the terribad game mechanic because it advantages Zergs?

Thats nihilum shitting in its pants that it will now have to actually deserve the gear drops

Ok lets dissect this text over here.

So Xp loss removed is a problem because: This guy is getting zerged alot! So that means, if we beleive this bullshit, that dying alot to zergs means removing xp loss will be bad for the receiving end of Zergs. We all know its usually the zerging side that loses xp, so obviously removing xp loss in pvp advantages zergs!

Is this credible in the slightest?

If this thread is any indication, we should probably just stop talking politics altogether :P

Xp loss seems like a good idea to prevent bindrushing, but I haven't seen it work well as a deterrent yet and I'm really tired of spending every night grinding back to 54 just to spend most of the next day back at 53 because of pvp.

Theres something wrong with the term bindrushing, thats like calling bicycles "2 wheeled deaths waiting to happen"

Theres such a negative connotation to the term bindrushing, where i see it simply as it was on Rallos, PVP.

The server pop will skyrocket if xp loss is removed, mark my words. Its a bit late now though because devs waited too long and we already lost like half the server pop since it was high a couple months ago. Its spring and im betting we lost most of these people for good till winter or velious gets patched, so i cant really say pop will skyrocket like i could have said it back in february, we will see how it unfolds, if thats the decision thats been taken.

Also, if they fix resists at the same time than xp loss, that will be quite a chuckle. Naked casters wont lose xp but there will be no chance in hell to root a twink, either.

You could make a compromise by leaving anything but 57-60 without xp loss, and keeping xp loss at high levels. But quite frankly, i dont trust the devs judgement to make a penalty that makes the server fun to play, so id rather they remove it altogether.

If i was running the server, id put xp deaths 57-60 at like 10 deaths (maybe more) = 1h of soloing dark blues.

My point was this. With no exp loss what is the negative side for a group just throwing themselves into pvp with no real hope of winning, with the intention to annoy the other group?

Example 20 people are inside fear. 10 people outside they zone in pvp and die. Then just to be jerks they just bind outside and keep zoning in nuking people and dying. Since there is no real penalty for their deaths, what would prevent them from doing this?

It already happens with throwaway accounts. So remove pvp exp loss and it will happen a ton more.
