I'm sure Ele will tell me in a minute.

Compare Fist of Nature to Fist of Lightning (and other Velious type fist weapons to be honest) please Ele. Something in the brain box just went 'twang'.

I'm pretty sure those 'Fist' items were not Velious Era.

Fuck monks.*

*Development does not hate monks.
The "Fists" are Velious era but were tagged 1 Hand Blunt. However, I have not been able to locate a Pre-Luclin source on Fists of Nature.

There was an old bug report here, that reversed the original weapon tags of "Hand to Hand" on the Plane of Sky weapons. That bug report seemed to indicate that there were no "Hand to Hand" weapons before Luclin, and that the items were "1 Hand Blunt". After looking around, I would have to agree that "Hand to Hand" was a Luclin+ modification to all the "Fist" weapons.

Whitened Trent Fist / Wu's Tranquil Fist / Wu's Fist of Mastery are already 1 Hand Blunt, based on the prior patch change.

Primal/Priceless Fist Wraps:
Source is in Japanese (help Zagum!) regarding Gareth the Trader that upgrades primal/priceless knights' sword and monk wraps.

Nilbog previously quoted from this page (or a copy of it) and it puts the date of Gareth late Velious. http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...9&postcount=35

March 27, 2001 (Post Velious Release - Couple weeks after-Plane Revamps)

Wizards now have access to a new type of spell that only works on certain types of target. Generically called 'bane' spells, a few are now available in the game. May your quest for such spells be successful.

Requires 2 Peridots per cast.*

Go Wizards!**

**Not Really

Edit:
http://www.graffe.com/graffe1.0/libr...zardly_faq.htm

Q: What Dragons can I hit with Dragon's Bane?
A: Warders in Sleepers Tomb, Yelinak, Tov dragons with Lord or Lady in their name. No Kunark Dragons.
(Minka Zaubermaus)

Q: What Giants can I hit with Giant's Bane?
A: King Tormax, Vindicator, Velketor, Narandi.
(Minka Zaubermaus)

Q: Do I need be in melee-range for banes?
A: No. Line of Sight is all you need.
(Minka Zaubermaus)

Q: Is the aggro generated by banes the same as for other direct damage spells?
A: No, it is lower than expected considering the damage. *NB* Giant's have very strange aggro so be careful baning them - they don't like it.

You don't really have to go that deep for Garath. There's English posts about him in Nov 2001 on allakhazam.

http://web.archive.org/web/200206220...shtml?zone=110

The fact that he would have been put in around the time Tunare started to go down, and Primal Fists were 1HB also suggests FoN were either option #1 or #2.

Cheerfully withdrawn.

Yeah, I'm thinking one of 2 things:
1) Fist of Nature was originally 1hand blunt, but was changed to HtH with the post-Luclin patch that modified Tunare's table (adding recommended levels, MHT getting a BS mod, etc.)
2) Fist of Nature was added to Tunare's table with the post-Luclin patch that modified Tunare's table.
Unless someone can locate a Pre-Luclin source for Fists of Nature, I'm beginning to believe #2 is correct.

Yeah, he is definitely time line appropriate. Was just using the Japanese thing as a starting point for finding 1HB sources for the Primal/Priceless Fistwraps. Had to get to the Zam versions of the 1HB wraps in a round about manner.

I know when we killed Tunare for the first time we pulled her to a zone wall, and took forever to kill. We had cleared the zone as much as we could, but we were getting respawns. Not too sure if we had a bard out getting agro to kite them off, just remember a few showing up mid fight, and off tanking or kiting them off.

I also know wizards were useless on her and we couldn't land anything. We all logged on twinked alts over wizards. Not sure about disease/poison resists.

Not sure which we'll go with, they all have benefits and detriments. The rooted level 70 version with knockback was stiff, but the pullable level 66 version had it's difficulties as well. Would be nice to get her difficulty on par with what it was 'at time', but with the limitations of the combat still I don't think that'll be possible.

I'd hope to tie them to the Tunare 'version'. Day zero loot sucked, Timeline loot stretched into Luclin and were slightly overpowered, but she was a slightly overpowered whore too.

rooted lvl 70 version plz. that was the sugar. The poison was the knockback. My 2 cents.

Ogre wall ftw.
