The guy is DDoSing a fucking everquest server. A free emu server at that. Cops could give 2 shits less that maybe 300 people at the most cant play a RPG. Sure it could be classified as cyber terrorism, but its a game server hes taking down. Hes not hacking a federal firewall or trying to steal peoples identities. Hes basically pissing off a bunch of nerds on a game and laughing his ass off about it, and when the GMs and people on the boards threaten him or tell him hes been beat, he steps up his shit.

Everyone keeps calling this guy an idiot and some kid with too much money. Well apparently hes just a tad bit smarter then that type. Hes managed to take down a new server that was supposed to prevent DDoS attacks.

Now Im a little upset that I cant play right now, but who cares. Go outside, turn on a TV, get a job. Do something else. Its not the end of the world.

Seriously drop the bullshit about how they are gonna lock this guy up for the rest of his life because he DDoSed a fucking emu game server.

It's not about him doing this to our server, it's about him doing it to the server who hosts us. Project1999 pays for a server provider and to hack into the system or DDoS it you have to go through the provider which could be.. who knows some really big company and they have to be the ones to press charges and they absolutely can.

My money is definitely on Kringe from VZTZ. He's sort of a dev there, is known to play here, and he's pulled this exact same butt-hurt retribution before on that server.

I'm sure the people at emu.pwned.com can give you his personal info. It was dragged up before when he did this to vztz a few months ago.

Wouldn't surprise me... it's who I thought was doing it anyway. Some of the asshattery on the vztz server is fubar. Some of those guys would do it just because they could without any further motivation.

Agreed. While these types of threads about IB and GMs do raise some questions with the players of the server, it doesn't affect the populous in a way where there is total uproar to the point of DDoS'ing the server out of some kind of Boondock Saints style semi-righteous bullshit. If you had 100% proof of GM misconduct, make a thread about it, prove it, and get the players involved to fix it. Don't ruin the game for the majority of the players who are just PLAYING the fucking game for nostalgic purposes and to have a little fun in their spare time. For Christ sake it's a video game.
