The lucy data.. looks like they were doing database work, and thats how they populated the stats.

I am going to change the cloak to instant cast until Sol Ro opens. There was really no evidence provided that it was instant, but there was enough memories and some posts that corroborated it.

There will not be 2 different items.. a prenerf and a nerfed. It will be the same cloak, and its casting time will return with the opening of sol ro.

-Pending update, Pegasus cloak will be instant cast until Sol Ro opens. Enjoy.

FYI the since we are talkin about classic original clicky items with instant casting times the guise of the deceiver originally also had an instant cast time, then the day they added the "your guise of the deciver begins to glow" text for items you click cast it also gained a cast time. I remember this bc I was excited at first i though "ooh new text and spell effect, then realized its bc it now casts a spell rather than click bam DE". Not a big deal but it did not start with a cast time if anyone wants to search for evidence of this, im 100% positive on this as people would spam the effect.

Yeah Guise was also instant cast. I do remember that at some point no one had an instant clicky anymore, though.

I think the Cloak was nerfed to 6.0 seconds because of how levitate worked back in the day. Each time levitate was cast you would rise up slightly higher and then fall back to normal. Instant cast Levitate allowed you to reach normally impossible heights. This is what I remember hearing anyways. I never actually had the cloak until after the Nerf. Does anyone know if this was actually true?

The nerf was due to the graphic lag spamming the spells could create.

No. That would require to have two separate instances of the item in the db (ie. There is two Circlets... Circlet of Shadow and Circlet of Shadows)

It is the same case as Terror Forged Mask. ALL pre-existing items were also patched and nerfed. The same would happen in the case of this cloak, or else there would be two instances of this item on either Alla or Magelo. The only multiple instances of this item are the ones with the crazy stats (which I am not sure how or why they exist as I don't think they were available when I was on live).
So does this mean tha all the exisiting Terror Forged Masks are gonna get gimped up at some point? if so when-ish?(not looking for a date, but an idea in relation to other in game events, pre-kunark, post kunark, pre velious, etc) TY

Yes.

- The Terror Mask will now cast "Fear" instead of "Call of Bones" as
previously announced. The "Call of Bones" effect was placed on this
item by mistake.
We try and follow the timeline. Kunark was released april 24, 2000. So, before Kunark.
