How did you set the macro up? I set one up but still never nabbed any land. I must have been doing something wrong. Maybe send to me in a PM if your willing to share your secret =D

As for pirate...not much you can do about losing your guild, but you can farm your land with an non pirate alt and mail the mats to your pirate, then craft and sell it on ah like any other toon.

I've been playing since launch! Didn't see this thread before, I'm Taiku on Tahyang east, Ex-Bushi, they kicked me after our guild leader ragequit the game after the whole Auroria thing haha, glad to see there are other people from here on Tahyang.

Come join the legion! Our play style is pretty close to old Bushi so if you like it there you should like it here. Tho we are going pirate here shortly so you would have to be down with that.

I'll certainly keep it in mind but I don't know if I want to go pirate just yet, finally got my first 16x16 plots around my room mate's thatched farmhouse, so I've just been doing a ton of farming/crafting, but once I get more geared up it might be an option!

We just plan to farm on an alt and mail mats to pirate main. Thats how i do it anyways to save on hereafter stones.

Gear wise you can port straight to any of the dungeons in the mainland so can still farm gha etc.

And so far, pirating has been way better money than farming for me. ymmv however.

Last time I went pirating my guild required that we all give the packs over for the leader to turn in for all the gold "to help the guild" so I don't know how much you actually get from it, but it was really fun otherwise. I'm making about 7g every 7-8 min if I don't get distracted by forums while doing it, running packs over the mountain between Rookborne and Falcorth.

We have one person turn them all in and then just split the gold. On a good run we will all make 30-40g in an hour off fishing ships.

It won't be very long before they start caving to the care bears. All that pirating you're doing is going to destroy itself by depriving the game of its core players: the builders, the xplorers, the socializers. If the game can't convince newcomers the game is great and they have a chance then the game will tank within a year, with the writing clearly on the wall long beforehand. You see the same story rehashed every time pvp mmorpg's don't control the environment enough to keep it fair for everyone. Ganking and open-world are #1 enemies of longterm survival for these games.

I haven't played this game yet but I'd be interested in knowing whether the pvp is open world or not? And can a player NOT engage in pvp and still do almost as much or as much as pvpers?

Eve-Online is a good example of a blend of features to allow for some open-world pvp and some care-free gaming for pve players. However, the game is still too niche to ever have an audience comparable to WoW. For pvp to work in big games it must be heavily controlled so it's fair, fast and players can opt in or opt out without penalty.

Just letting you know what I see from the outside looking in. I see you telling us about your pirating exploits and how fun it's. I call to mind the same story told by countless others, all of it eventually amounting to ruin, mostly because the game was setup in such a way that it was preordained to be unpopular or to fail, given the course it was on.
