total nonsense, ddos is very serious and they will arrest you VERY QUICKLY and no amount of proxies can hide shit, the problem is 99.999% of ddos attacks are OUTSIDE THE US and they cant do shit about those.

It's pretty hard to identify the perp in a DDOS attack because more often than not its a bunch of infected machines of people who don't even know they've been compromised.
