Then when the same guild gets him every time "plz plz put the variance back" lol
There is no reason to believe that would happen. And if so, it would also just as likely open up the channels for guilds to negotiate and maybe even work together to bag kills.

The variance on these mobs is by far the highest buy in to raid on p99 and certainly deters many great players from enjoying the classic experience of raiding.

Perhaps players who who came up with p99 raiding as it is have a fixed mindset about raiding and think the way it is now is the way it has to be.
It could be better, and would be closer to a classic experience if it were left up to the players, as Nilblog relentlessly insists we sort out issues without GM intervention as much as possible.

Large variances marginalize players as much as it simplifies the responsibility of p99 to sort out a truly functional solution.

---

Face-tracking, using gimmicky wall clipping mechanics, for hours upon hours... What reasonable player seeking the classic non pvp experience truly wants to do this.

That "relive the classic experience" over the fast forwarded video of everyone doing nothing gets me every time.

rumors of a 50 man BDA sock for CT last week and legend has it they got a Slime Blood and BCG out of it.
Was mostly just alts camped out - everyone else was in HoT. I had a good feeling about CT drops though so I tracked for like 7-8 hours.

We probably have 15-20 CT kills, 0 Slime Bloods still.

We've gotten two since I've been in BDA (2+ years) and just 1 SK sword.

We also got a Shield, which is probably the most useful loot from CT for our heavy monk raid force...
