I want to post a tease of some of the madness that is going to come from this!
First of all I want to make a quick mention of Moregan's eagerness and awesomeness to do something like this on our box! I gotta thank you for being you and making this all possible! Also of course the rest of the staff behind the curtain! Sirken and everyone else Sirk - all you guys and gals! Thanks! Second of all, Below is a SS of a test of one of the many bizarro games that we came up with in our first meeting! As soon as we arrived in the arena and saw the squares beneath our giant feet, we knew exactly what must be done. 2v2 Turn based EQ PVP.. We quickly made a rule each player rolls /rand 4.. that determiners how many 'action points' you get to spend.. if you roll a 3, you can for example move 2 spaces & cast 1 spell. Each player takes turns randoming & spending their points... if you are melee you can move 3 spaces to close the gap between you and a caster.. try to get next to someone and use an action point to turn on auto attack!.. If you're the melee's target, better hope your turn rolls around before you die! It worked ridiculously well. Filb won our test round! ( I only had 40% mana when we started! Who knew the game would actually work out! I was so bummed. Filb was 2 spaces away, I had my final Dot Ready to cast, 1 action point to cast it with, and BOOM i was OOM!) he rolled a 3, walked up and beat me to death. Ok Ok - I don't want to post about how much fun WE had, but I do want to post about some of the stuff we are going to be doing with YOU ALL and it's going to be really really fun. We Promise! One of the most fun events I remember from Live was the Naked Newbie PvP Halfling race from Freeport to Qeynos. No ports, no spells, no buffs, no use of the PoK books. All participants were Level 1 Halfling Warriors and you had to turn in your Discord book and you were then transported to the Arena in Freeport.
First player to turn in their Newbie Note to the Guide in the Qeynos Arena wins 1K Plat for their Main. There were dead level 1 hobbits spread all accross Antonica! Runnyeye was a slaughter house.
