usually the isp isnt to blame. If there is a lot of traffic via torrents and ddosing it gets throttled for everyone on the network hub, and sometimes it crashes. This is why cable isp kinda sucks. I have comcast and rarely experience high pings in any games. I tyhink the highest ping i have had so far was in Black Ops 3 and it was 49. I live in a really small town though. I think we have 3 hubs total. Bigger places have more hubs and more people per hubs.

for about 45 minutes i was unable to connect to several different web servers, including project 1999, eq emulator, any google website, discord's voice chat server

mostly everything else was fine and the issue resolved itself
