Thats the lol in it all too. The so called red a heart had to be guided by the very people the spent years callijg blubies to actually become red in velious. (Thats raiding at 4am to avoid pvp and sittijg a binds to buffer their "scores".)(now they actually try pvp openingly)

LOL

Proof that EQ is a PvE game before PvP.

EQ was never a PVP game. PVE game with PVP enabled.

Tempest deserves whatever it gets.

Just wondering why empire raided uncontested while everyone cried about it instead of doing something about it.

Contested ever quest is surely more enjoyable than uncontested ever quest (for all parties involved).

TL;DR in bold. I know it's a lot of text. It's because I have a lot of thoughts. LMK what you guys think of these hypotheses.

• The "resistance" were too concerned about not getting YT'd. The environment here is so cruel. I was afraid that if I died trying to contest/grief <Empire> that people would disrespect me (also the corpse run). I wish now that I had risked it.

• The "resistance" leaders didn't know ToV and how to grief raids in there, and how feasible it actually is. That doesn't make sense, though - they did it last night. Did Reebz and Zechariah always know how to get around in there? I wish <Friends> had led me into ToV to do what they did last night. Maybe we would have kept <Empire> from progressing and gearing up.

As for me, I have never raided ToV , so I didn't know the zone layout, location of the CoV mobs as opposed to the KoS-to-all mobs, how raids work there, etc. I'm only just beginning to learn that content now.

• The "resistance" went after their own pixel gains while <Empire> raided. Velious offers lots of solo/quest/group content. Scout Charisa, 8th ring, blue diamond jewelry, panther skin armor, and more. Plus, with Kunark largely abandoned, people could get epics on alts. Perhaps the resistance players were too distracted by their own potential pixel gains to halt <Empire>'s.

The last part is correct for the majority I believe

"Oh man empire is in ntov , rest of norrath is a loot pi๑ata now with no major distractions"

Also I haven't seen any PVP contesting, this is like "griefing" I guess if you can call it that, trying to get people to quit instead of both sides having fun.

Plus, don't forget...<Empire> was pretty much TWICE AS BIG as <Tempest>. 6v50 is a different game than 12v100. Imagine having a second <Tempest> to plug out <Friends> while the other half killed the mob.

I'm not judging I am just saying loading OOR toons and dispelling raid mobs isn't really contesting neither is sitting at bind spots for YT's.

True. But you saw last night, right? The questions in my mind are: Could Velious have been like that from the start? Or is a 90-man zerg unstoppable? Or is Aimchat really that much better at PvP strategy than anyone else here? Or is it just a matter of riskin' it for the biscuit and diving in to PvP a whole raid?

Pras Reebz. I haven't forgotten when he went in solo on <Empire> in VP and one by one the rest of <Friends> joined in. We eventually got outnumbered outside, though. Seems like it always ended that way.
