Yes, in part 1 of the last stream (April 27th) they confirmed the game would be launching with *at least* one PvP server, and will add more with different rulesets etc as time goes on.

I am an alpha pledge for Pantheon, I'm not expecting any PvP outside of duels in the Alpha since they'll be focusing on the big things like progression, balance of major features, and just overall performance/bug squishing. But I do hope to see PvP in Beta, as I'm sure they'll be dedicating the Beta to working on the smaller details of the game and will have all the big issues cleared up in Alpha. So maybe we'll get a PvP test server during Beta? One can hope!

Either way, Pantheon is EQ2, watch the latest streams, donate if you like what you see. Support the only chance we've got at a decent fuckin MMO coming out. Also, if any of you guys can get into the alpha/beta, do it!

The more people we have on there giving feedback and posting suggestions that would make the game more like Classic EQ, the better. I'm sure the current-EQ'ers(live I mean) and WoW'ers will find their fucking way there sooner or later and start bitching because they wanna turn it into another instant gratification, everyones the hero shitfest. Gotta make sure we're the loudest and most prominent voices on there!

If you're not aware, there's a time locked progression server coming out soon on live (End of the month). What you may not be aware of is that eqlive under daybreak no longer has any GM interference on there servers, ignoring well known training guilds, ksing, etc. Basically PNP and GMs does not exist any more.

What this means is this server has the potential to be the reddest of all red servers currently available.

Imagine THREE THOUSAND basement everquest lords from live starting up on a new server. They have no idea what a res box train is, no idea what filth is left on the internet from the rz/sz/zek days. While we can't ice comet them directly, the guk arch magus we trained on them sure can. Sure would be unfortunate if a group of level 1 dark elves grabbed a sow and DA trained efreeti / the whole zone.

XP loss for pve death still exists on live, that's more than probably exists for death penalty on this server nowadays. Desperate basement dwellers are counting on farming GEBS and FBSS to sell for RL cash to pay for their ramen noodles. Hit me up or aim chat if you're interested in enjoying good times with 1000s of unsuspecting innocents.

So you have SZ without the possibilty of pvp to stop people? Meh.

Yes, SK's and Paladin's can tank alot better, still obviously not as good as Warriors and not the HIGH tier named.
