After a lot of thought on this subject, I think I understand now why guides needed this name changed.

It had nothing to do with lacking a RP theme, or any other explanation thus mentioned. I believe it has to do with the fact that it's impossible to petition anyone with such a name.


Imagine... Iiiilliiiliilii begins KSing YOUR orcs at Orc1, when YOU had it camped first!

In a frenzy, you begin your petition as we are conditioned to do!

/petition "I am being KS'd at Orc1! PLEASE HELP ME GM!!!!! A guy named...."

*blink*

Illiiillllii?

*sigh*

Now imagine, imagine if we had hundreds of players with barcode names!!!! It would be MADNESS for the GMs to try to figure out WHO the petition was filed on!

This is obviously why the GMs want names like this off the server.

It was just an I with 14 L's. I truly didn't even realize the name til I got drunk and made a char. named Illomen and saw that the "Ill" was just vertical bars. I was like "oh neat". I made a character named Illllllllll.

It was weird cause it really pissed a lot of people off who were just passerby's, what is that character trait where names like this piss people(asspies/incels) off so much?
