*Today's Patch*

Today we modified the EverQuest client to implement the following
changes:

- The /book command (/book #) now accepts pages 1 through 50, and will
switch to the proper page.
- Opening your spellbook will automatically cause you to begin
meditating providing that you have the skill.

- Removed the /meditate command since it is no longer necessary.

So in a little over a year and a half we should no longer have to click it.

This is the only post in this thread that matters.

Ok, then if you had to click the Meditate button every single time in classic, then well done by the devs here!

You're the one who is convinced that the behavior on green is un-classic, but that it should remain because it adds to your immersion.

I'm just the one that wants things to be classic. That's it.

I am convinced that the behavior on green is unclassic?
Not sure where you're getting your information from.

When you opened the spell book in 99, you automatically meditated, or you had to click it the first time and it auto-clicked forever, I can't remember which one. But clicking it every time I open the book presently is not that big of a deal. It actually adds another piece of immersion into it for me!

I think it's making some of you blue-vets have to actually think for once and you are all getting frustrated.
Is your memory truly that short?

I still don't see where I am convinced that the behavior on green is unclassic? Because I said that I didn't know if it auto clicked or didn't back in classic?

This is a thread of people reminiscing on the "good old days" back in 2004:

Having to open your spell book and actualy click meditate. It was always embarrassing to go AFK with the book open, then come back and find out you'd forgotten to click that damn button.

I'm pretty sure I even have it in my Qien logs of me commenting on being dumb and forgetting to meditate.

Are you just incapable of reading what you typed? Here, let's go through this step by step:

You said this: "When you opened the spell book in 99, you automatically meditated, or you had to click it the first time and it auto-clicked forever, I can't remember which one."

This is you, stating how you believed it was in 99. You are saying that EITHER you 'automatically meditated' OR 'you had to click it the first time and it auto-clicked forever'. This is you, making a clear declaration that it was one of these two options back in classic, in 1999.

Correct. But I have no problem with it. Is there something wrong with you?
