Seal Team has like 200 active players now, they are an absolutely massive zerg, of course plenty of the players (most?) are going to be perfectly normal, nice EQ players.

The problem is their leadership. The toxic alpha-nerd attitude comes directly from the top, from Phatezz, Vill, Smash etc.

Just read the UN Discord for 5 minutes and you’ll see just how sad and shitty these folks are about playing EQ, there’s no way that attitude wouldn’t trickle down and permeate the entire guild. Has nothing to do with “classic” EverQuest and everything to do with pathetic nerd egos.

I recall being lectured by a Steal Steamer to apply and join their guild, because they "work hard" to get things. This was after declining to let them keach exp from my camp. When I replied I am here for fun, and how my job is where I work, I was mocked for being a weirdo. Now, I know there are good and bad in every guild, but this special creature I met is all too common a breed within P99 Green. Again, I support the movement to bring back Teal.

I think that's a pipe dream, you would at least be slightly spreading out camp competition, but make no mistake, if people thought there was more opportunity to get a chance at rare items on teal, they would.

Ultimately what teal would do is cut in half the number of neckbeards per server.
I dunno, I think competitors are drawn to competition: there's no bragging rights in "winning on the carebear server".

Now of course people would play on both servers, I'm not denying that. But if only one server had server firsts, un-rotated raid mobs, and similar mechanics ... so that only they had the true "thrill of competition" ... I legitimately think the people who like competing at classic EQ would focus most of their effort on said server.

Pff I'd argue with the current setup that winning on p99 is akin to winning on a carebear server. When you absorb everyone willing to watch a stream for 16 hours that got sick of seeing the same fte'rs from the other guild scoop the mob up then well... you end up with everyone willing to 'win' p99 in one spot, hardly a competition
