Locket of Escape broken?

SOE weren't huge on telling players items were taken out either.. hate to sound cliché but its classic.

For Instance; The Kly or NoS never got a mention in classic patch notes just that some Dalnir mobs were too powerful for their level and it was adjusted.

Simply read through some old school allakahazam and you'll see plenty of tears in the comments

People were responding to AFK boxes for 55-70 hours straight for an item that was already removed. I doubt the dev's response will be "it's classic"

yeah 70 hours which im assuming you had buddies logging in but still. thats retarded for an item that was already removed. if you are working even a low paying job 12ish/hr thats like 800 bucks opportunity cost you could of earned working instead of pissing it down the drain for an item thats not even obtainable anymore. If you have a good paying job of around 30/ hr thats 2100. thats some real grievances. I think the folks waiting on that list since they shadow removed it and didnt announce it should be at least compensated with the item at the very least.

Ehhh, there’s a timeline. That the devs follow. That’s publicly available.

If someone ignored that timeline then decided to stick around for *literally days*, that’s 100% on them.

Which timeline are you looking at? The legacy seb loot was not removed in the same update as the locket of escape, on blue, on classic, or any server that I'm aware of. It's not even listed as such on the official timeline that Green is supposedly following, nor were they removed at the same time on Blue.

There should be 2 weeks after locket when other items are removed, but they seem to be clumping the timeline into one-month batches.

Yeah, I don’t buy it. We all knew removal was imminent, there was a patch, and after 20 hours of no locket the guy goes, “I’ll give it another 35 hours then ask!” And he should be...compensated?

I’m not making an “it’s classic” argument, I’m making a “this was a stupid waste of time that deserves discouraging not rewarding”. But I’m also generally anti-poop sock, and especially multiday insanity like this.
