Yep used to spend most of my time on red with the Flowers of Happiness. Fun enough for a while. Got toxic though so wound up on Blue and then just said screw it and left for many years. Dabbled on two different DAOC emulated servers, Rift MMORPG, then Elder Scrolls Online which I think is a brilliant PvP game if you like the idea of massive 3-way battles for castles with siege engines and all that.

Now I'm back here because why the hell not? I had a craving for nostalgia.

Ya EQ is great. Nothing can really replace it. Even if the actual pvp is better in most ways in other games.

That's y I post here I guess I miss it. I'm still trying to get red 2.0 launched.

WoW style battleground graveyards would be cool for EQ pvp. U just pop over there as a corpse with a rez box up if u die in any way and respawn automatically in all ur gear.

That. Plus no more exp loss in pve vs mob deaths would probably reinvigorate pvp a lot.

If Red 2.0 is teams I'll try it but might not stick around. Like I said in the Red forum I'm older now and don't care about it anymore. I'm not a serious gamer at all. Took over a week for me to ding 9 on Green and I'm happy with that pace lol.

The forums are what I do when I'm bored at work, the game is what I do when I'm bored at home.

SZ but more so - each faction is it’s own team. Even relatively allied factions.

Eg Bloodsabres can pvp vs Dismal Rage

Knights of Thunder vs Priests of Life.

Cross teaming allowed, but can’t be relied upon.

Maybe even make it so your faction standing with a player’s starter guild is what determines who they can attack/be attacked?!

The main ruleset when people say FV ruleset is usually, everything is tradable. Nothing is no drop. (maybe epics and some quest items are iirc?)

It also was intended to be the roleplay server but it immediately became the min max server and had most server firsts etc.

But since it was intended to be an RP server, item loot is fun, and raid guilds being able to have gear advantage sucks, it makes the perfect item loot teams pvp eq server ruleset IMO.
