The gigantic chipped and/or cracked tusk. To my knowledge the quest for the item was never implemented (or was broken).
Yeah thats what I read. Nobody actually knows for sure though.

This. It's so goddamn out if place. I wanna know what the guy who designed it was thinking
That's handled in the lore thread I posted. For whoever asked why it ended, it's because the event ended.

Rodcet Nife is the prime healer, he's a healer from another planet and Bertoxx is the anti-RN. The story goes that they were competing physicians on their home planet where the race was plagued by a certain disease. Each proposed a theory for fixing it and the race chose Bertoxx's cure which turned them into undead zombies. There's quite a bit more to it but it comes into play in EOA and EQ in the planes of power.

That was removed because it was OP. Purposely broken I suppose.

cyrano you should probably compile all the fun stuff in that thread into an easier-to-read excerpt. I want to know all of it but it's just soooo spread out over noninteresting otherstuff.

get on that? k good.

I spent two months trying to figure out a broken ChardokB quest. A GM finally admitted that it was broken.

If you asked the guildmaster at the top floor of the Neriak Necro guild, "Who is Innoruuk," he would tell you about a text called the Scroll of G'han, which was a prayer capable of breaching the barrier between the material world and the Plane of Hate. One could speak directly to Innoruuk, if one knew the words. The guildmaster tells you to look in Felwithe.

I did. For months. About four years later, GMs admit it went no further than that, and I was heartbroken.

Don't feel bad. I worshiped Karana the Rainmaker on live and when I finally got to meet him he had nothing special to say. What a let down.

You guys amaze me, what an awesome few threads of reading on the lore etc. EQ is so stunningly designed that it even had all these clues.

I always laughed at the paintings on the walls in sol B and the text some guildmasters went on about. How immersed were some of the dev's in making this stuff.. Stunning.

This is a great thread. I've leaned more about EQ lore this second time around than the first 7 years ago! It still fascinates me and is a main reason I play and love EQ. Cheers to everyone who is bringing input to this thread.

I've never understood the Bunny of Neriak. It's interpreted as a collective of divine symbols, one for each of the elder gods - Veeshan, Tunare, Prexus and Brell Serilis in the center to represent the the first covenant, with the darker gods left outside. The bunny itself is supposedly Veeshan's symbol.

So, why does Veeshan's symbol crown Neriak's gates?

Neriak is a totalitarian state that demands Innoruuk worship. House Thex, the royal house ruled by Queen Cristanos* and King Naythox*, demands that the elite of the nation practice the arts most pleasing to the Prince of Hate - namely, Necromancy and divine magic - and those who do not are outcasts at best. I fail to see why the tier'dal would use the symbol of any other god, especially a symbol that shows Innoruuk's exclusion from the covenant, a decision made by the elder gods which resulted in civil war on Norrath and in the planes for centuries.

*The true ruler of Neriak is a subject of debate. Some NPCs, when asked, will answer based on their faction - Indigo Brotherhood and Ebon Mask tend to serve the King, while The Dead, the Spires and all devout Innoruuk worshippers serve the Queen. I obviously hold with the Queen. Because she's sexy.
