everyday i lean more towards this shit being another dot com bust though idk

not that it won't happen but a "ai winter" cycle and a bunch of these start ups going bankrupt not being able to monetize this shit first before we get to the promised land

The fact that the only thing that could kickstart three mile island is the needs of an A.I data center over real humans is telling.

Dont get me wrong, i like atomic power. Thorium and liquid salt reactors are the way to go, but money talks apparently and A.I is already a needy child.

the market literally needs a story going on to prevent a deep recession, Dot-com Boom then Cloud computing then IoT then EVs now it's AI and some are saying we're already pivoting to quantum computing

AT&T and the tax payer is still fucked from the quick rollout at the time, actual demand finally caught up though

AT&T still has so much debt from it that their toast next recession, Everquest servers benefited from it at the time, without it the servers wouldn't of been able to handle the traffic

tomato tomahto, people freely gave up their data for numerous different reasons and that data was already collected and being abused by algorithms written by humans to sell shit which wasn't helping anyone but giant corporations

AI is just a search engine that lets anyone benefit from that resource that was already given away. you can easily make a strong man argument for AI against what was going on prior with just the social media apps and e-commerce sites using the data
