I'll be honest, those numbers don't really make sense to me. They look like an effective meme someone has made however they came to those numbers... Why are the compasses all circled? Is that some kind of joke that compasses are useful for drawing a circle of a specific radius?

Newton was an incredible mathemtician. Did you know he invented (derived?) calculus in order to describe the motions of the heavenly bodies? I got a copy of his principa mathematica, translated into English though (Latin was the Lingua Franca for a great period due to it's international study making it a decent way to transmit knowledge across borders). Often when people were described as illiterate it meant they couldn't read or write latin, not that they couldn't read at all in their own tongue. He also did a good study of light. Look at this crazy little rainbow that manifests on his bedroom wall!

Anyway, I visited Newton's childhood house. It is where he was free enough to commit to his work (there was a lockdown which prevented him from staying at University to stop the spread of disease). It is really funny, cos he is always described as coming from humble origin, but really it is a pretty big house with a decent whack of worked land attached to it (for which he had labourers). It really highlighted the discrepancy between the absurd wealth of those who write history, those who have some opportunities, and those who represent the most everyday people. If you're ever in the UK it is a good visit.

It's interesting that after you said science refuses to admit it is wrong, you didn't engage with my post - perhaps because you feel it opposed your position. If you are inclined toward conspiratorial or skeptical thinking, then maybe it will be worth taking a second look as actually there is a lot of agreement with the systematic problems in science and how it is impacted by funding etc.

The take away of my post was not at all that published studies are all truthful and good. It doesn't make sense that you kept hounding that point as I was in fact very critical of the system.

Regarding flat earth, I have to give the qualified agreement that at the scale with which humans as individuals interact with the world, it is sensible to treat it as flat. Any curvature is not meaningfully significant compared to local topography and surface travel in day to day life.

I'm reading up on curvature, and how it applies to 2d shapes like circles, rather than spheres. Is there a way to describe the curvature of a sphere without flattening it into a simple 2d circle? That is amusing in and of itself if we have to make earth flat to describe the curvature!

But anyway, if you look at wiki the curvature of a circle as a length is derived from inverting the radius of the circle, and has nothing to do with area. ie curvature = 1/R Taking the supposed radius of the earth, 6.38 million meters comes out as 5.1424E-07 feet. That doesn't match your meme's numbers? I think they just made up a bunch of stuff to sound good and feed into your hebrew/masonryspiracy?

I'll see if I can work out how curvature of surfaces works and maybe report back later.
