If you do decide to go pure melee - I know that everyone makes fun of non-ogre warriors, but DEs do get innate MR if I remember right (like an extra 20 MR or something), and from what little I know about PvP, I've always been under the impression MR tends to be one of the more important stats.

Dark Elves are bar none the worst race for a warrior; I'd rather play a gnome for the extra dexterity.

They also don't get a MR bonus. Dwarves get +10 MR, but I wouldn't go with Dwarf Warrior because you can't slam, which is a very important PvP skill. Erudites get +5 MR and -5 DR. I wouldn't go with Erudite SK because again, they lack slam. I also wouldn't go Paladin, because Dwarves have better stats and have better MR bonus.
