I know at least 6 people who would play on P1999 if velious was a known thing, but at the moment those 5 to 6 people (realistically 5 who would stick around) are not interested in the shitfight that is kunark.

See that's the part that sucks, because I know at least 7 people who wouldn't play P1999 is Velious was a known thing.

The thing about Velious is that it adds a metric ton of raid content and that's what people who spend significant amount of time playing want to do. You don't end up with situations where nobody else can do ANY raid content at all because what little there is is taken by the top two guilds every time.

I'm not digging up all the names, but Temple of Veeshan offers about 20 individual raid targets for loot as well as 2 sets of armor mobs.

As Velious was the greatest expansion ever created for any game ever, I'm sure people will find time. Really neat thing about Velious? With the exception of Plane of Mischief and the things that weren't actually connected to Velious (CT changes, etc), most stuff is still the same on live now as it was back in the day (at least it was last time I was logged into live), so someone can just do hands-on research for everything.
