You guys have these delusions of grandeur about how resists were "back in the day" and I bet you'd swear to it to the grave, but in reality 95% of you don't remember anything about classic or kunark because IN classic or kunark it was such a short time that the game existed in that delicate state that nobody ever knew concrete what anything did.

*OPINION* I remember in kunark and early velious before people got 200+ MR unbuffed you never really tried to root people because MOST of the time it wouldn't land, but if you had a large amount of roots it was not a 5% shot in the dark, you could get them rooted and it was a viable strategy.

*OPINION* Right now at about 160 MR unbuffed I can say that i resist about 80% of roots. That being said the resists come in waves, then you get rooted in the middle of nowhere. But that's the dice roll system.

Supporting claim: I never had a root or snare casted on me while I was geared by an intelligent player in Kunark. There was no hope of it ever landing. It was used widely on pets, but a resist magic on the pet would drastically change the ability for root to land.

Evidence of proof I played? Click below Mr. Winslow.

Now here's a great statement. Pretty sure we didn't have to because it was obvious that root just didn't land, therefore little reason to test. You acknowledge it was a short period and then expect screen shots of people parsing root resistance as proof. More Nihi BS lolz.

If it was a 1 in 5 shot to land a full length root on someone, we all woulda been spamming it on live. Buuuuuuuuut we weren't. Further, if it did land it would last maybe a tick or break instantly.

Moving on to the truths at hand...

As far as delusions of grandeur I'm going to say you have a 0% chance of having played classic pvp. Case dismissed, *CLACK CLACK*.

Just wanted to point out that this means an additional fight. Again, showing the comprehension of some people.

Also, I agree with Nirgon. Root wasn't even memmed at one point for pvp because casting it was a complete waste of mana. That's what made monks/rog's so godly in pvp indoors. Here, killing a monk/rog indoors is hilarious.

Trying way 2 hard to sound intelligent bro. I tell you what, stick to /q'in and exploiting that IP exemption to drop out of game instantly and inviting every fresh body on the server that hits 34, and we will take care of this. You have got a lot on your plate.

It was memmed for pets. The epic mage pet being almost impossible to root by itself. I think this had to do with it's level. Too lazy to go digging through all the buffs it puts on itself, though I don't think any give MR... maybe they do... I just know what I know.

Not to mention I actually stunned Calyx at a zone line. She was likely buffed and had mithril arms + legs on.

Hop in the old way back machine and a younger Nirgon (and anyone else on RZ) will tell you "uh that's not right".

We've beaten this to death, it's not right, it's not getting fixed any time soon. I just don't stand idly by as some fool from blue comes along and decides he knows everything.
