I don't think it's the forum that's the problem. I don't know what the problem is actually; I wasn't here when the server died. I do see a lot of servers on the eqemu launcher that have healthy populations though, so I know at least part of the problem is that the overall population is split.

the pvp on sz felt like it mattered more. ffa pvp has always felt pointless to me. its one of the reasons why most of my kills were guard grinders in rivervale and highkeep. I usually targetted evils, never targeted halflings, (unless they were guard grinding in MT, lookin at you Arrillious.) pvping over dragons is fun but what if you give two shits about dragons in the first place? good vs evil makes more sense eq wise than killing your own race over some orc camp.

Rz was super fun. Only reason people didn't like it was because it was too hardcore and they were scared. We use to literally own oasis,nro,ec,nfp and wfp, and had super twinked chrs from just taking out peeps in those areas.

Owning noobs with your twinked out alts isn't exactly what I'd call "hardcore."
