How easy is it to come back? 8 year Vet

My WoW account just got banned out of the blue so a big Fuck You to blizzard. I always loved oldschool EQ and since I cant afford to pay for anything else figured I would return. I played from 2000-2008 and had various 70+ characters monk,mage,shaman,ranger,SK.

Im just scared the controls are gonna be awkward and I remember actually dieing to even con mobs when i first started playing EQ. Are there any leveling guilds out there that could help and old vet? I dont want plat or handouts just some groups to get the exp flowing. I will probably be online for 7-9 hours a day so lots of playtime. Havent decided on class yet but was thinking maybe wizard, SK, or necro.
