Removing the NPC shouldn't be necessary, a post and global message(preferably when they login) stating that it is illegal to do so should suffice. This is unless it is blatantly obvious that it is an exploit to begin with in which case all exploiters should be subject to suspension or ban depending on the severity of the exploit. Those that have done this before (knowingly exploited) before should be permanently ban. If anyone would exploit it after it has been stating should just be banned.
If our views of a certain individual would depend only on the presence of a good conscience - be it hidden and oppressed beyond recovery - we might as well all start worshipping Satan now. It is the way a person presents himself to the world that determines the people's perception of that particular individual. As long as they present themselves as individuals that are willingly open to exploiting the game to their advantage, people will continue to treat them accordingly.

People are highly resistant to critique. A highly compromised integrity is the result. They think "IF I BELIEVE IT, IT IS TRUE". Unfortunately, what you think and what is are two very different things.

This server used to have good GM's, that weren't afraid to suspend/ban people for obvious exploiting..

Bring back Bort IMO!

Just something to let them know "hey, you screwed up for repeatedly using an exploit. You get a 3 hour suspension now, and if you do it again you're getting a 24 hour suspension."
agree with this 100%.

sends a very clear message without alienating a player. I partially agree with ephi, we shouldn't just be outright banhammering people permanently for small screwups, but I do believe a short suspension is in order to let people know, hey, knock it the fuck off.

Hey... you have to give the guy some credit for figuring out how to exploit it. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Surely a minimum of 24 hours for any suspension? Don't go for British justice.

24 hours is nothing, should be more like a week or two minimum

...which is a good point. How about some concrete rules on this kind of thing?

Set something fixed. Monthly ban? Perma ban? Put a list up, and people can't say they weren't warned of the consequences.
