Most of those people who quit on phinny, me included, I am sure will be done with EverQuest by then. Not all of us seek to make this game last the entirety of our lives and are perfectly happy with a 3 to 4 year stay.

BDA was great when Anichek and I destroyed the Class R rotation. Probably the only thing we did in BDA that bypassed Chest's authority.

He'll probably have more fun in those 1-2 years than players do on this server when raiding here involves staring at the wall to only have a few minutes of fun once a mob pops.

I think when both situations are crappy in the end, I'd rather have the experience that involved consistent fun without staring at the screen doing nothing for 1-2 years straight. However, if guilds can still continue being reasonable rotating things like VP, which actually makes the game fun, maybe P99 *could* be more fun. Tricky gamble to know which is a better choice.

What a peculiar thing to say. Why would you spend years on a game you don't actually like? Give it some thought; it's a serious question. Maybe you got something out of P99 other than enjoyment of gameplay; a sense of accomplishment or camaraderie perhaps? Perhaps you held out in hope things here would improve? I ask because I can't recollect ever looking back at something I've moved on from and been unable to understand why I enjoyed it or did it at the time. I have no concept of that. Life's too short to spend your free time doing stuff you dislike.

When the time comes that I eventually quit P99 for good (or it closes down) I'll know exactly why I stuck around as long as I have. Simply put, I like the parts of the game I utilize. Note that I don't raid to any significant degree nor care about doing so, so my own game experience is no doubt a lot different than yours was. Phinigel seems clearly superior for what you say you want to do.
