Not sure what your point is.
Read it a few times. You'll figure it out.

In EQ, mobs will rape you. You can't go barreling into a room full of mobs and do a whirlwind, spam your abilities, and they all die.

Unless you severely outlevel or outgear the content, you will get raped unless you use some strategy, or cooperate with other players. You need to CC, slow, attempt to single pull, etc. Difficult content forces interaction, or at least some level of planning/strategy.

Having to interact with other people to get something done is a lot more fun and fulfilling, in my opinion, than watching my avatar bash some harmless mob into the ground with a billion particle effects and huge numbers. I don't want this game to be Socially-Augmented-Single Player, I want to to be Massively Multiplayer, with a community, reputation, etc etc.
I'm sure the raids will be very difficult. Beyond that; who cares how hard pve is? Players will always need to be organized and attentive in pvp, which is obviously the most important gameplay aspect.

Sure they showed a couple of devs running on gm created and pre-skilled classes. Your inability to see past this is laughable. Everything they have revealed has not truly shown the harshness of fighting something against your skill level, the group mechanics, the penalties for death, travel, etc.

Go back to rnf, maybe learn some things before comming in here and shitting up a thread with unintelligent statements.
Whirlwind ATtack/Hammer Smash GERPLAHHH, you're super intelligent mate. University?

I can log on my mage and run through Crushbone, gather 50 mobs, and nuke them down with 1 aoe. Hopefully what has been shown at this reveal is something similar, would like to see them fight something around their skill level. Game all boils down to community interaction triggers and the interaction with difficult mob encounters. (which have not yet been defined)

I hear a lot of bemoaning about multi-classing and how it homogenizes the player-base but I wonder how many people play a ranger here on P99? Okay, now how many play a monk, instead?

See what I'm getting at? I mean, really.
It's not the multi-classing part that's the problem. Hybrid classes have basically always existed since the dawn of MMORPGs. It's the "You can switch to any class you want at anytime" part. That shit is GAY.

I love the people crying about multi classing, nothing was more frustrating in classic eq than sitting for two hours looking for a cleric to be able to continue your exp group

The difference is EQ has distinct classes, when you allow everyone to be everything at once people just find the combination that is the most OP and play it. Classic has people playing rangers and wizards because they still have abilities that are useful and needed that other classes can't utilize. When you allow multiclassing people find the combination that is the most overpowered or some minor variation of it and play it.
