He was hunting me through OT after i hammered.
So i stopped to give it a try - i was unbuffed but made it, was very close though.

Lor, especially since you can charm anything you want in fear, kill that gorilla first. his path time is about 2 minutes. all the other zone in pathers are on a ~10+min cycle, so killing that one gorilla makes things much, much safer, especially if corpses start to pile up and you want a rez. there are really only 4-5 mobs that will agro you from the zone in spot, but many more will assist/agro if move slightly in the wrong direction.

fear mobs about either 12k or 14k hp, i forget, but i doubt you can root/rot/nuke down the non-summoner scarelings with your mana/spells.

you could try seeing if scarelings can proc through rune/bedlam. i know certain mobs can't lifetap through rune, so if this is the same, you can easily slow the mob you want to kill, haste/weaponize your pet, and then keep rune/bedlam up on your pet to avoid ports.

Yeah this is what I figured out. I just charmed him kinda reflexively. Next time he is the #1 mob to go.

Also next time I think I'm just going to calm/blur any scarelings I get except for potentially the one right on top of the portal. Once I've thinned out the roamers a bit it won't matter so much. And I'll definitely try your bedlam trick, that would work fairly well I guess. It might be easier to just chainstun? Not sure. I can definitely kill them with a summoned pet+roa though if I have to, it'll just be slow.

freakin chanters, forgot stun lock is another option :P

well the idea with a summoned pet would be that you let him take the damage, otherwise you'd get ported when he was meleeing you

sounds like root/slow/bedlam/stunlock combo would work well. with the bedlem on the pet as a backup incase you have to cc something else and miss a stun or two

you don't get a snare line, do you? if so you could also charm a frog, tash/snare the hell out of the scarelings, and let the frog pet fear kite him to victory. sounds like a solid plan for a druid/enc fear duo tho! (there is frog that paths to south of the portal that would be easy enough to snag)
