getting a bachelor's in philosophy is about 100 times smarter than going to law school unless:

1) you are going to a top 14 school
2) you are getting a full ride or someone else is paying 100% for it
3) you have any very strong personal/family connection to a firm

if any of those above are true for you then get a JD

if none of those apply to you then it is the worst life decision you could possibly make as anyone who has spend 2 seconds researching the career prospects for graduating JDs knows

"T14 or bust" isn't entirely true. Once you get into tier 2, then yeah, you're looking at bad times under normal circumstances. If you want Biglaw then yeah, T14 +U of Texas (If you live in the South) is the only intelligent decision, but for those with a specific plan in mind before law school a top 60 CAN be an intelligent decision.

Of course if you're just going to "be a lawyer" without a more specific plan then yeah, T14 or serious scholarship to a top 50 or bust.

Stinkum great example of someone who can't grasp pretty simple logic. People in this thread used the argument that because a person of authority has endorsed a certain rule that therefore the rule is correct and should not be questioned. I extrapolated this logic to day to day life to show that such an approach is ludicrous. If you would question nonsensical rules in your day to day life, why wouldn't you here as well? [the answer is because the rule here "punishes" someone they don't like, and they are hiding behind faulty logic]

You also keep using the logic that you have freedom of speech and can voice your opinion. Where you sit and play this game from is irrelevant to this discussion. Also, your day to day life, or the history of the country you live in along with its judicial system is also very much so irrelevant.

Sirken never said he reviewed the rules of this server and was making a change that he thought would make the server more fair. He simply stated that he became aware that people were still exploiting something that was supposedly fixed on this server by others in charge.

Your are fighting about the term exploit or relating this to other zones that need changes. You are requesting changes to be made in a thread meant to enforce changes that were already made. This isn't the place and bringing up nonsense like this derails the intent of Sirken's original post.

The only question that should be brought up with this ruling is how players will be treated that haven't logged in since this post and July 1. I can get behind that because it is relevant to the ruling, but your 40 pages of bullshit shows you are a little too immersed and going a little crazy.
