I run separate directories for each box and have no problems. You have to change a couple of ini files around for the launcher so it starts in the right directory though.

Yeah I tried that, didn't work, user error lol. Can you make an eqmac2 folder? or must it be eqmac?

Does anyone have the problem where their fonts look weird? Mine have like a line cut out of the middle, but only on certain letters and it seems to be pretty random. I have done the fix for the mouse look and changed my affinity to 1, but it hasn't helped with my fonts.

mine are set up eqmac1, eqmac2, etc.

You just have to change eqw.ini so that the eqgame.exe target points to the right directory.

Tried that, but when I try opening the second instance of eq, the first closes.

Unless I start them both the same time, in windows.. then I can. Be nice if I could work it through wineq.

All I do is open EQW, get into the came. ALT-TAB to the desktop and then double-click EQW again, run a second instance, get in the game on that one, and bam....I'm boxing. I don't have to have two copies of the EQMAC in separate places at all. I only have one install.

hm,, set cpu affinity? Run it in compatibility mode? I try that and the first instance closes

I don't do any of those things. Maybe your computer isn't powerful enough to run two instances of the game, or may the connection is slow? At this point, I'm just throwing turds to the wall and hoping one sticks.

eqmac is awesome

lots of content and mostly classic.. come give it a go ;p

there are plenty of guilds dedicated to not racing content or intentionally blocking others.. why do you think the sleeper is unwoken on eqmac.. its not because they aren't capable of waking it.

I start a game and get to the login screen, then I start a new one. I always have the fix eqclient.ini box checked. If the window is open before I start playing, I can use it.

Hit me up in game Shaere and I can get you some starting stuff if you plan on playing.
