Hello I have been trying to post ANYTHING on these forums for 2 days now. I attempted to post 2 IP Exemptions in the Petition Forum but neither of them are showing. I have attempted posting a thread here regarding my problem but none of them show....so I am attempting this reply to see if it works.
The problem is this, my wife and I want to be able to play together from the same house. We have two computers but only one router. We actually met on Everquest during the Shadows of Luclin release. Any help and/or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks all.

Make a petition, your account was not allowing you to make threads because it is new and it needed to be approved by mods. The only legal way to do it is wait for the staff to approve your ip exemption which could take a couple weeks. A VPN would work but is illegal here so they will ban you if they find out you are using one to log in two characters from the same home.

And again, for those who are thinking about trying to box on here, here's a fun number: we've caught over 300 accounts boxing so far this year. That's without any major sweeps and no particular focus on patrolling for boxing. Don't take the risk and end up joining the banned - pay for a port, make a new friend for that transfer you need, etc. instead.

Legally you can't 2box but a lot of people do it. I'm sure a lot get banned but most people don't. You will see a ton of people AFK at EC tunnel and they are most likely playing another character somewhere else. People also do things like farming separate places at the same time on 2 different characters. It is all just common sense, if it is obvious you are 2 boxxing you will be banned. If you get away with it you get away with it, just like anything else that is against the rules. If your characters are interacting with each other or just logging in for a couple seconds at a time there is a good chance you are doing something shady.

Lol. Just because people are AFK in tunnel doesnt mean they are playing on another account or even at the computer for that matter. I use to sit in the tunnel for hours on end. Sometimes i was actually sitting at the pc buying/selling but i'd say a good 90% of the time i was watching TV or playing another game on my other monitor or not even sitting at the computer.

You'll have to excuse him. He plays red, and that's just common "knowledge" to him that everybody on blue is botting an AFK EC trader. After all, it's what makes the blue population so high.

Just because you havent seen a GM doesnt mean they werent there observing you. Just because they got a complaint about boxing doesnt mean they are going to let you know about it. GM's have stated many times they watch people before going through the boxing test.

My point was that as suspicious as we have looked, since we weren't boxing they never talked to us. They could be watching at any time, but if you aren't doing shady shit, they won't even talk to you.

I wonder how many new players we leak because of the forum posting rules and having to have the first 10 messages approved. I understand why its there but feels like we're not very welcoming.

Well when there were times you would come to the forum and it would just be filled with porn gifs and mutilation pics etc you would understand.
