Alternate Ruleset Server idea

Only read the first page but lol... All them elements id what make this everquest. If you took out all them spells, then why have more then two classes? If you notice almost every class has a feature that no other class has. Its why people hated expansions past velious. It took away the uniqueness of the classes. Books, mercs and so on... If you had a caster who casted spells and tank, who tanked. It would be boring. Classic to velious did it so perfect from classes to items to camping items. Every mmo I played since eq, I compare to eq. Then I quit a month later.

Still too easy, ban attacks all together for melees imo, real men walk away from fights.

eq2 basically solves all of these problems, maybe not how you prefer, but it does solve them.

Most of my ideas are in all the newer MMO's. I guess my ideas aren't all that ridiculous after all. I'm no expert, but I believe most games have level requirements on equipment or scaled based on level. I believe power leveling is either impossible or not nearly as crazy as it is here. They have anti kiting code. While I don't like instancing, that seems to be the way new MMO's prevent cockblocking and allow for everyone to have access to all content. And no I don't want to play those other games, I like most of EQ. Even in it's original form flaws and all, it is still the best MMO for me. Have a nice day, flame on.
