This is c followed by a consonant though, not c followed by a vowel.

Luck-id and Lucky are both c followed by consonant.

It's just par for the course. I had to convince some of my workmates in the US that they didn't, in fact, invent the English language. It came from England, hence "English". No really, I'm not kidding.

I used to say luce-lin / loose-lin until I watched an SoE interview and all the devs were pronouncing it luck-lin. Since then I pronounce it luck-lin.

Toe-may-to, Toe-mah-to. Both are correct.
Oh and forgot the southern pronunciation, 'mater.

This is how the SoE employees were reported to have pronounced it at EQ fainfaires. I continue(d) to say Loose-lin, just because I like it better that way, but Luck-lin is correct if you care.
