![]() Very good point Kergan. True, if they didn't experience both sides they wouldn't know.
I always really liked the VZ/TZ ruleset. It only needed one real simple fix, no heals/buffs/group for the other team. People always complained that such and such doesn't have bards and so and so doesn't have druids but frankly that made it more fun. I played in an all dark team guild. Made fights that much more fun/challenging w/o some 'necessary' class. | ||

and Velerin, i agree, if VZTZ was hardcoded and if it had P99s anti-hax detection, it could have been grand. but it didn't. and even if it did, Gronkus stole the good money box.

it also had 0 MQ/SEQ detection, 0 boxing detection, and minimal hack protection. VZTZ max pop (with 2boxing) was ~330, or ~115 people. R99 currently has more actual people playing on it than VZTZ ever had, even in its prime. it wasn't perfect by any means, but it was imo the best EQEmu server up until P99 really got up and going, and surely has its place etched out in the EQEmulator history! <3

![]() It has been stated multiple times by the staff that Teams will be after Velious is launched on p99. So do not expect it soon , and it has been known not to expect it soon from the first mention of teams. Dunno how OP thought it would be coming very soon. Give it about 3 months to a year and than, we will see a teams launch.
Until than, they are working on it and Velious so we can see it this Winter! Winter (hopefully) is coming... But I do like the OP idea, besides the Iksar being its own team, they are Darkies. Some of your rules are good , I especially like the idea of no cross trading between factions. I believe talking in common toungue should be left though, it is not a game breaker. An you can't take out the fun of trash talking your enemies. Quote:

When your fighting a guy and he has a green cleric healing him , but you cant touch the cleric because he is same team, is beyond annoying, and truly hurts a server and kills the game for most. People do not want to deal with that shit anymore. Make it so you have to stick with your team! no X team! Do this, and I believe the teams server would surpass blue, once word got out. So many people would come to play, and stay, once they seen it was legit and no x teaming. I also like the idea of no bind camping an few others you mentioned, but X-teaming is what will make or break it. Will discuss more in the post that is coming. Hope it happens though.

Iksar are darkies. 3 team Hard code would be awesome and the best idea. Taking out the Iksar as its own team eliminates dumb ideas like " Iksar players will have access to the Enchanter class." But OP has some good idea like I have mentioned already. The colored names is another good one. Some bad ideas too , like the starting city should not change. 3 teams and classic as can be would be the best.
