I never understand why people buy plat... Just stupid. He's in a good guild, can raid to get all the gear he needs/wants if he just shows up to raids. With any high end guild you will have the friends/guildies to get the harder/most rewarding camps in the game to make tons of plat.

Group made in like 10 mins, after gas station runs n what evs...then bam group til something spawns.

I also never understood that myself, I've had no reason for platinum after the first year of Kunark.

No need to MQ stuff because I'm in TMO.
No need to buy expensive items because I'm in TMO.
No need to buy PL's because I'm in TMO.
No need to farm for raiding materials because I'm in TMO.

When I farm plat it's for stupid stuff like Twitch give aways or paying for ports.

I have three characters though and only 2 60's so maybe the people who have like 6 would need lots of plat to gear them but I did just fine on my 3.

Platlord and the other RMTers say most of the RMT purchases come from non raiding guilds and it makes sense since they don't see content and are not good enough to earn there own gear.

Maksim was not very active and did not get loot from TMO minus a rotting staff in VP. I'm sure he was out of his depth in TMO and instead of deleting/getting banned he should of just joined a Class R guild instead.

That's not 160 individual raids though; it's 160 individual dkp events. Consider that VP, for a long time, was 6 separate DKP events in under 2 hours. This happened every week. Factor in sever repops, 3 DKP events for Sunday Sky, 3 DKP events for the Noble cycle, and so on, and it'll add up quickly.
