Connection / Lag issues lately...

I didn't have time to play yesterday so I Don't know, but right now, I got home from work and can't even log onto the server selection.

I was experiencing some lag last night. Same as everyone else basically, spell casts slow to respond, tells delayed, etc.. I did a tracert and results were the same as Elerial's

Hope they iron out the issues by the time I get home from work. Trading in EC yesterday was a nightmare.

Okay, so knock on wood, no problems so far today.

This morning - I logged in and the lag thing would quickly go from 100% to like 98% acting like it was going to go LD. Then back to 100% all in like milliseconds.

So I updated firmware on my router which hadn't been done in like a year.

Been playing for like 6-7 hours and no issues. Think I locked up zoning once, but that was it. No errors at server select or anywhere else.

Maybe this will help someone? I can't imagine this was the actual solution though lol!. Been playing fine for a year since installed router, but I no nothing about tech stuff.

I too have Comcast. I remeber a few years ago having a similar issue while playing Aion. NCsoft eventually got with Comcast and fixed the issue. I came back in the morning dead, but didnt die during all the lag issues I had...I would zone out and/or restart and it would work for about an hour. I expect we will have this now and again, a free to play is pretty awesome I can deal with this once in a while.

I'm still having issues. I get to the Logging into server Please wait... dialog box, then nothing happens. I shut the game down and re-start same thing. When it does go past that screen into the server select screen sometimes the servers are listed other times not.

When they are I click on the Play button and maybe get to character select. If I manage to get in the game, it is guaranteed that when I zone I crash. Upon restarting, the whole ordeal starts over. I reset my router, and did a speed test on my connection and everything is fine there.

I even took the liberty of installing EQ on my wife's laptop, and the same issues are there with a fresh install. I even installed WinEQ and still the issues persist. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I went from smooth sailing to a sunken vessel in a matter of one night. :P


I finally made it to character select clicked on Enter World, and was met with Server isn't responding message.


I still cannot login and haven't been able to for three days now. I've tried everything I know to and games like WOW, EverquestLive, Everquest 2 to name a few all work, I guess I'll just stay out of pocket until they do a patch or something to correct this issue. It would seem with others having the same issues, that it isn't limited just to me. If that was the case then I'd have no need to post. Have fun all you that are able to play :P

I use Charter and have many of these problems. I will try to cast a spell and it will just darken my bar and lag. Sometimes it will come back and cast. Other times it will just DC me. I get DC'd out of no where all the time. It was going on months ago. Then it stopped for for maybe 1 month? It is back in full force DC'ing me throughout the day. What's odd to me is that I don't go LD. I can exit game and log back in to server. Dying in PvP like this is super annoying as well as dying in PvE.

The past week i have also had issues with frequent disconnets, they range from 10 mins to 2 hours per DC.

I have been having an issue where it stops and loads like I am zoning, but it is happening in the middle of zones randomly.
