Obviously you didn't play on the original discord server then, cause plenty of people boxed. I anticipate there won't be boxing allowed because the GM's decide that, but original discord was for the most part, GM free. I mentioned the 2 shaman brothers who were using cheats, and they were able to do that for a few weeks because no gm's were on. It has its pro's and cons. some people just enjoy that FFA, ruthless style, anything goes and the consequences are dire atmosphere.

Pretty cool. Love hardcore server rules in theory, but this not for me. I would only end up stuck at level 6 every night.

Ya Luclin and original EQ were the best of all-time. Followed by Kunark, then Velious. Excited for Velious, but once Velious has been expended for a long time it would be wonderful to look at Luclin as a possibility. Been with the project since 2009, and will never give up faith that it will be a strong possibility. Very admirable of them to do the Discord too. One of the happiest days of my p99 life to hear this progressive, and community satisfying news.

Why? Is it because of the new graphics? Beastlords? The fact that it's "on the moon" and not "Norrath"? Paludal Caverns and Vah Shirs?"

Personally, i think Luclin was one of the best, if not the best. The AA system and the new spells made it so that the classes were a little bit more balanced.

The zones were beautiful, intimidating and mysterious. Katta Castellum, Akheva Ruins, Umbral Plains, lots of creepy and weird mobs that were a breath of fresh air because after killing a trillion orcs/goblins/kobolds/frogloks, a change in scenery was needed.

I'm far from a lore guy, i usually give my fucks only for the game mechanics and stuff like that, but Luclin's lore captivated me. Vex Thal meaning "Sacred Heart". They invented a whole new language, akhevan, for this expansion, how can you not think that's cool, lol.

My opinion is probably due to the fact that i started playing EQ and got hooked during Luclin and played through PoP/LoY/LDoN. For me, Luclin is Everquest.
