I responded to your original statement about always being on the winning side, and now I'm a guild hopper? Nice. I stick by for better or for worse. No complaints, I ended up in Empire. I'd be upset too if I was in the toxic Azrael run of guilds, and finally had to jump ship to the first blue thing that would take me. Oh well. Those recent posts of your hugging tight onto TMO's balls would have riled me too if I had to do the same as you. Frankly I'd probably just quit too.

The resist system needs a big change for damage spells or else everything is just boringly centered on melee with bard speed. Damage spells should never be getting fully resisted, the resist level should just determine a set damage reduction: 1% for every 3 points of resist a player has up through a resist value of 90, then 1% for every 4 points from 91-150, and then 1% for every 5 points after that up to the max of 225.

That sliding scale of values would allow lower geared/buffed players to be more competitive while still rewarding the people who have the higher resists. Someone with a resist of 90 would take 30% less damage from a given spell of that type, 150 would be 45% less, and 225 would be 60% less. Then, after doing that, the inherent damage reduction on spells for PvP should also be tuned: 80% for regular Wizard nukes and 85% for Lures feels about right (instead of 66% as it is now) and it should be a case-by-case examination for the other classes and their spell lines. Things like Bane of Nife have to be kept in check since it potentially does the most damage for time spent and comes on a class with a lot of tools at their disposal.

At the same time, melee damage also needs to be decreased on a sliding scale depending on the strength of the weapon. It's way too much right now; a fully hasted top-geared Monk does more damage than a Wizard spamming Lure of Ice on recharge, even with that proposed increase for spell damage. Everyone should be able to understand how problematic that is, when considering how much easier it is to dodge spell damage, how it can be interrupted, and how it is more finite (Wizards run out of mana, Monks can just keep attacking without ever stopping).

I'd think it would be pretty easy to code as well, so that's my first wish to make PvP way more interesting. If it doesn't happen, I should probably just roll a SK/Ranger/Pally and join the melee train. Have those classes received all of their Velious-era buffs yet, btw?

they are parasites living off the efforts of a group of people leading a top guild, once that guild falls these parasite dwellers disappear into other guild doing absolutely nothing until they once more appear in the new top guild and start posting shit on the forum again
