i might suggest celebrating (remembering? dont mean to disrespect..) it by looking up some other countries' bad times. here: have a whole movie

its a docu about a dozen or so free and rich indonesians discussing their participation in the killing of 500,000 branded communists in 65' and 66' (thats basically a bi-weekly 9/11 if you're comparing victims, but who is?). lots of scenes of them smiling and laughing about how they carried out executions in detail. they also shake down a couple of business owners who are still scared of them in current-day indo. hell some of them are still working gov.

I will get teary-eyed on the anniversary of 9/11 till the day I die. It hit everyone around here real hard. Some of us even watched it live with our own eyes from hilltops. It was a surreal feeling, like living in a waking nightmare. Words can't describe it - the sadness, the horror, the immense anger that we couldn't even pin on anyone yet, the realization that this moment changes everything. It was awful.

Fuck all the conspiracy theorist nutjobs and the american apologists ("it's our fault the towers were attacked twice in 8 years").
