Yes plenty people still use it (myself included) most just use the character model upgrade. Its not like luclin graphics or anything it just improves the detail in current models. SO it is classic yet more defined. Well worth a shot and is easy to install.
Later on if you like the character one you can try the zone models.

This should work forever , it has been going good NO bugs and or problems for 5ish years now.
