Half the server at this point are the permanently dedicated Sullon Zek cats that really only play EQ for the reasons you hate it.

Aside from a very small minority, most guild leaders here have had no desire to shape the server's culture into something inviting, and you'd be best betting on the ones that matter never will.

Salary has confessed and atoned for his sins and will join the pure in the afterlife. At no point did he lie about what he did. This is all you can ask of us flawed mortal beings.

Lots of people would play a fresh server because there would be way more PvP and groups going on.

Rogean/Nilbog definitely have the right idea following the Path of Exile style of turning the current red or blue servers into the "copy all the current chars here" and releasing true timeline servers as seasonal offerings to keep things fresh and prevent a lot of the "alts camped around the world" stuff that detracts from the true classic experience

But if you don't like it now? Leave and check back, and leave a thanks for Haynar when you do. The lengths he went to help the PvP code here weren't required of him and he was dealing with all kinds of shit while he did it.
