Not posting your prices up front decreases the chance of actually selling the item (Imagine if you walked into a retail store where none of the prices were available until you brought items to the counter - that store would shut down fast unless it sold Armani suits) - but it can, in some cases, increase the chance of selling it for more.
I always sell things much faster if I just list out prices which are right at market or just under and make them firm. Once I sell my junk, I can get back to actually fighting things and getting more junk to sell. Dunno why people just throw stuff out there and *want* to haggle. Don't you have better things to do?

Realistically it's a process of both good prices and haggling that gets you what you want, but the goal in not listing prices is to be offered a price that is over market cost by an ignorant player. The problem is that market price is whatever someone is willing to pay for it, so they're kinda lowering the auction trackers price average by not posting their prices. Anyways, I may send my logs your way and see what you want to glean from them.
