Cause & Effect.
Cause: You're one of those annoying pricks that flame lick-spams people in EC. You finally flame lick the wrong person. Effect: You get death touched. Cause: You tell a GM to fuck off. Effect: You get suspended. Hopefully this clears up any misunderstandings. Uth, next time, bind him in Fear. | ||

Again, this is about ego. Some people do not like being told they are wrong, argue...with the GM/s, insulting them and get suspended. The concern ofcourse is over themselves and for no one else. It doesn't matter what they did or what they said, it only matters that they feel wronged.
What follows is a seemingly endless supply of threads boo-hooing over what happened to them and why it was wrong for them to be suspended. I do not think I've ever seen a thread posted that could go something like this: "To Uthgaard and other GM's. I didn't realize my actions were detracting from the event or your ability to GM it. I'm sorry." Now there may be PMs with these statements and I'm sure the smarter individuals just roll with it, take the lump and continue on. A PM like the example above would be a good start I think. This is how its done. You show respect and you receive it. How have ANY of your actions sir shown any ounce of respect or understanding for the monumental task that the GMs have or the personal time they spend? Each moment you spend justifying yourself is a moment you are wasting. You as well as many others here do not have the guts to stand up and say, yes I screwed up and I'm sorry. Your just a weasel behind a keyboard with some twisted sense of self worth and entitlement. Christ, just take your limps, grow a pair and STFU about what happened. When your suspension is over, log back in and try to enjoy yourself for a change.

PSA on How to properly communicate with GMs by Neno:
I have always viewed the GMs here as law enforcement agents. Even if you don't agree with them just say you do politely and move on. There have been tons of posts here since the server went live about how particular GMs are assholes blah blah. You won't win and you will just make things worse for yourself. They make the calls and if you don't like it you can either just forget about it and go do something to get rid of the stress or you can get tazed, bro. I'm not saying don't get pissed but instead of trying to attack the GMs or convince them they are wrong just vent your frustrations to a friend or your guild. Just don't attack them either directly in game or publicly because it will never end well. If you feel like you were screwed over and want to talk to other staff members than use the petition forum. RNF really is not the best place to bring up your gripes with the staff because it will just cause you to be heckled by other posters and no one will take you seriously. For example... last summer the entire raid force that I was part of was moved out of zone and told to not come back for the night. Did I think that was right? No. Was I pissed? Sure. However, I really like playing here so I just logged off for the night and came back the next day. Ever since than I have had many positive encounters with that particular GM. Also if you do talk to a GM during or after an incident don't cuss them out. Just explain your side and do so in a formal manner. Using things like 'u' and 'ur' or any other type of short hand just makes you look kind of disrespectful and dumb. If English is your primary language than use it to the best of your ability. If it isn't your primary language than let them know that and try the best you can. If in the end after you explained yourself and they tell you "too bad" or "stop talking to me" just drop it and go do something else.

If everyone was perfect, we wouldn't have anything to talk about in RnF.
